Nonresidential Building Trends Improving

According to an article on Forbes.com, non-residential construction companies posted an average sales increase of about 10% in 2011, making this the sixth year out of the last seven in which nonresidential builders outperformed privately held residential builders.

Manufacturing and commercial construction projects have been some of the biggest drivers of nonresidential construction over the last year, according to the Associated General Contractors of America.

"...Nonresidential construction remains a strong driver behind recent gains in construction spending in the past few months," said Sageworks analyst Dianna Hu.
